Had to go to redruth today to pick up some new seats for the van, so best
chuck the kit in as well.Decided to stop at Daymer, it was a bit chilly
with 20knts blowing. Decided on big kit which proved to be right alot of
the time but also way too much others with the wind very up & down.I was
gonna cahnge down board but couldnt be bothered to walk back up the beach &
risk letting the cold set in.
There was afew others about, some rigging wave kit & others rigging more
speed oriantated. When i got on i could see why the speed kit, with a fast
blast on a super broad reach on flat water right down the edge of the Doom
sand bar.But i made my way out the channel a bit to the waves & some
swell.
Once the tide strated covering the bar there was some nice waves, some
head high, which made for nice jumping & a few frontside rides.once again i
went for a few backloops off of some nice peaking waves, the smile factor
still hasnt worn off! & i saw someone sail way from a backie today which
looked very good...
After a couple of hours i called it a day as i was actually getting
cold, with another 3hrs of driving to add to the 4.5hrs of driving i had
already done. It was actually quite busy now with 12 sailers & some kiters
out.
After 389.9 miles hardly dropping below 80mph i dont feel any more
fatigued than if ive drove up the local shop, i love that 2.5tdi
